About Me

I am a Cotswolds based artist who has a life long passion for art. Having pursued a career helping to develop people, I am fortunate to have been able to be creative in my work and indulge my artistic gene. During a career break after having my twin daughters, I first studied watercolour painting with the lovely Jocelyn George at Breadstone Art Studios and went on to study art, design and print making at the Bristol School of Art. I am now a member of a wonderful international art group where we continue to develop and inspire each other. ​​

My taste in art is comparable to my taste in music - which can be best described as eclectic, liking most genres! Having been inspired by Matisse and Impressionism from an early age, I am also inspired by abstract art and fauvism which is increasingly coming through in my work as my style continues to evolve. Underpinning my work is my love for colour and light and I try to convey an emotional as well as imagined sense of place in my paintings.
Working mainly in acrylics and mixed media, my original paintings can be found on the main gallery page and I also love commission work, creating that special piece of art that is unique for you. A selection of my artwork is also available for sale as prints and cards - more details on that can be found on the Shop page. Prints and cards are produced locally by the lovely Pete and the team at Cotswold Letterpress - I can't recommend them enough for your printing requirements.
